Shah tells him over phone to stop multiple trips to Delhi, solve issues

Irked by the continued neglect and non-coperation from the BJP high command, Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has threatened to tread his own path.

After failing to get an appointment with the BJP national president Amit Shah on Friday, a frustrated Yediyurapp drove to the RSS Delhi head quarters in a private car.

The Chief Minister was in Delhi to seek approval for portfolio allocations, to discuss the status of 17 disqualified Congress and the JDS MLAs.

He met one of the key RSS functionaries Arun Kumar and expressed his unhappiness on continued non cooperation from the party high command.

The Lingayat strongman feels that he is ignored by Shah and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During talks with Kumar, sources said that Yediyurappa even made an oblique reference to pull down the government and let the party high command fight fresh polls.

After hearing Yediyurappa out, Kumar is said to have connected Shah over the phone.

During the tele-conversation, a source said that the BJP president advised the Chief Minister not to frequent Delhi and solve all issues by himself.

“We have given you full freedom to form the government. You take whatever decision to contain dissidence, allocation of portfolios. Well will approve your decision,” Shah is said to have told Yediyurappa, a source said.

Deputy CMs

Meanwhile, Shah is also said to have asked Yediyurappa to make party loyalists CN Ashwath Narayan, Laxman Savadi and Gonvind Karjol deputy chief ministers.

Shah is said to have asked Yediyurappa to upgrade these three ministers while allocating portfolios. This is likely to be another headache for Yediyurappa. Former deputy chief ministers R Ashoka and KS Eshwarappa are not happy at the prominence give to juniors Ashwath Narayan and Savadi, a MLA who lost the polls.

Yediyurappa is already under pressure from his loyalists seeking ministerial berths while senior ministers are asking for key portfolios. On top of this, disqualified MLAs are exerting pressure to clear their case before the Supreme Court besides asking Yediyurappa to reserve the moneyspinning departments for them.
