Selvraj, Sindhu, Yadava on UPSC’s Hry DGP panel?

K Selvraj, K K Sindhu and Manoj Yadava are likely to make it to the panel of three officers to be finalised by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for appointment as Haryana’s next director general of police (DGP). Haryana chief secretary D S Dhesi, who attended the meeting held in New Delhi on Friday, was the only representative from Haryana as the outgoing DGP B S sandhu was relieved on January 31.


Sources said that in accordance with the Supreme Court guidelines, the committee has not considered the names of officers with less than two years of service left.

Asked about the meeting, additional chief secretary, home, S S Prasad declined comment, saying: “I am not in a position to comment until we get an official communication from the UPSC or the chief secretary’s office.”

Selvraj (1986 batch) is currently posted as DGP, prisons, and has little over two years of service left. Sindhu (1986 batch) is the director of Haryana Police academy and due to retire in 2021. Yadava (1988 batch) is the youngest officers of the lot and currently posted as joint director of intelligence bureau
