CHANDIGARH : The Haryana Cabinet on Tuesday approved the spots for setting up toll plazas and toll rates on the inordinately delayed Kundli-manesar section of the Kundli-manesar-palwal expressway.

The 136-km expressway will loop around the national Capital to provide high-speed connectivity as well as decongest Delhi. The KMP expressway starts near Kundi (Sonepat) and joins Delhifaridabad-agra NH2, near Palwal. The project is being executed by Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (HSIIDC).

An official spokesperson said the HSIIDC will either itself administer the toll plaza on Kundli-manesar section or hire a concessionaire to levy it. The toll plazas will come up at village Abbaspur and village Pipli in Sonepat district, village Mandhoti and village Badli in Jhajjar and at Sultanpur, Patli-hazipur and Mokalwas/fazliwas villages in district Gurugram.

The spokesperson said the toll fee to be recovered from the users on Kundli-manesar section for the year 2018-19 has been worked out on the basis of National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008 and its subsequent amendments to date issued by Union ministry of road transport and highways for various vehicles on Kundli-manesar section.

TOLL RATES
