Rain brings Gurugram to its knees
Several areas of Gurugram were heavily waterlogged on Sunday after two hours of rain, leading to traffic snarls and civic problems.

Rain led to slow-moving traffic and waterlogging at areas, including Huda City Centre Metro station, Medanta Underpass, Hero Honda Chowk, Huda City Centre, Subash Chowk, and IFFCO Chowk. The downpour left many arterial roads, lanes and by-lanes flooded.

Officials of the India Meteorological Department have said that the latest spell will be the last of monsoon rains in Delhincr.

On Sunday, police were deployed at the Hero Honda Chowk underpass, which remained under water for two days last month following heavy rain, to monitor the situation. Commuters outside Metro stations had a hard time accessing public transport due to flooding.

Many commuters said autorickshaws charged exorbitant amounts for short distances.

Waterlogging and snarls were also reported from Sheetla Mata Road, Signature Towers, parts of Palam Vihar and Udyog Vihar, and Sectors 30, 31, 22, 23 and 14
