Principals, heads, drawing and disbursing officers (DDOs) of government schools in Rewari and Mahendragarh districts have decided to boycott a special training programme on e-governance, human resources management system (HRMS), e-billing, e-gras and Haryana civil rules scheduled to be held in Panchkula from June 11 to 16.
Sources said the decision was taken at separate meetings of the principals, heads and DDOs held under the aegis of the Haryana School Siksha Adhikari Sangathan (HSSAS) in Rewari and Narnaul on Saturday and Sunday respectively.
The meeting flayed the fact that the organiser -- Account Training Institute, Haryana -- was not providing them residential facility during the training period.
“There are around 600 principals, heads and DDOs of government schools in Rewari and Mahendragarh district. No one will participate in the training due to the non-arrangement of accommodation for the participants. They have been asked to make arrangements on their own,” said Prithvi Singh Yadav, Rewari district president of the HSSAS.
He said the participants would have to pay from their own pocket if they hire a hotel room during the training period while the department would give them nominal travel and dearness allowance.
Sudhir Kumar, Mahendragarh district president of the HSSAS, said there was no logic in organising a training programme without residential facility for the participants.
“Such training can easily be organised at the district level. The State Council of Education Research and Training (SCERT) in Gurugram may be an option for the training, which is near both Rewari and Mahendragarh districts,” he added.
Suresh Goriya, District Education Officer (DEO) at Rewari, said that since the training programme is mandatory for every head, disciplinary action would be taken against those who fail to participate.
“All principals, heads and DDOs have been informed about the training programme which will cover all e-governance projects and Haryana Government Finance Department topics on service rules,” said the DEO.
